13 Jul Treadmills good for all seasons
Winter, spring, summer or fall, I’m always glad to be able to have a treadmill to hop on for a workout.
When the weather is nice, I’m less likely to use the treadmill, opting instead to exercise outside with a jog, walk or bike ride.
But even during periods of ideal outdoor weather, a treadmill is still handy if you get busy during the day and want to use it at night.
Treadmills are one of the easiest, safest ways for a person to get an efficient aerobic workout.
Whether you’re trying to get back into shape, begin a new exercise routine, maintain what you have, or train for the next level, a treadmill can help take you to your goals.
Walking on a treadmill is something most individuals can do regardless of fitness level.
As you get stronger and gain more endurance, the treadmill can grow with you. Simply speed it up, raise the incline here or there and stay on it longer.
A treadmill is an easy to use machine and is actually safer than training outside. It has a predictable surface that is much easier to walk or run on than sidewalks, curbs or trails, so the risk of falling or tripping is greatly reduced.
For some people, the time exercising on a treadmill passes by much more quickly because you can watch TV or a movie while waling or running, or read a book or magazine.
You can also completely control the workout, which makes it fun and challenging. Decide whether or not you want to change the speed, incline, warm up period, cool down period, and energy exerted, etc.
And it’s easy to keep a workout log because you can easily track your workouts with extras such as step counters and heart rate monitors.
Simply stated, a treadmill is a great way to exercise and burn calories efficiently.
The treadmill is the most popular piece of home exercise equipment for a reason. Almost anyone can benefit from exercising on a treadmill and even on days I don’t use my treadmill I still appreciate the fact it‘s just a step away.
