06 Jan Horizon T101 a star among mid-range treadmills
The Horizon Fitness T101 is a standout when it comes to mid-range, budget treadmills. The versatile machine has a strong, quiet motor; comfortable jogging-walking platform; and impressive console and Sonic Surround speakers with an MP3 input to play music through the speakers.
Known as a top player in the mid-range treadmill game, Horizon typically offers a good mix of reliable, long-lasting fitness equipment. Among budget treadmills, Horizon is one of the best. The highly popular T101 will be back in 2011 and I recommend it most for people who want to walk or do light jogging.
Although you can build up running mileage, I’d recommend going to a higher-end treadmill if you want to run excessive distances over a long time-period. Also, bigger people (230 pounds and above) may want to upgrade for better durability over the long haul, but for most users the T101 is an excellent choice. It actually lists a 275-pound maximum for users.
In addition to a smooth walking and running feel, the LED console display, and MP3 hookup station and speakers are great additions. There are nine program options built in: Choose one of three targets—Time,
Distance, Calories—and one of three workouts—Manual, Intervals, Weight Loss—for a completely unique and tailored workout experience. The PerfectFLEX™ deck cushioning provides the right mix of shock
absorption and support. A large, heavy frame is stable during exercise sessions.
All things considered, I’d highly recommend the T101 treadmill for most people.
